Not classified as hazardous under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. Full details in the Safety Data Sheet below.
Tolnaftate 1% is the active ingredient in Tinactin®. It is a thiocarbamate antifungal that stops the fungi responsible for athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm from building their cell membranes.
It is a non-azole antifungal, which makes it a natural alternative for people who have finished a full course of a clotrimazole or miconazole cream without improvement.
Antifungal creams in this category relieve the itching, burning, cracking, and scaling that come with these infections.
No improvement after the labeled treatment period, an infection on the scalp or nails, cracked or bleeding skin, diabetes, a weakened immune system, or a rash that keeps returning.
General information about the ingredient category, not medical advice. The Drug Facts label on the package controls.
